Boarding Schools: Live-In Schooling

Boarding school is a kind of a home schooling because children are meant to live here during the whole period of a particular session. All the basic necessities of a child that includes food, lodging and study are provided in the same place. Boarding schools in India are full-time living schools. Most of the boarding schools in India are offering a full-time educational program with some additional activities like sports and cultural activities.

Perfect opportunity for working parents

Let’s talk about the lifestyle of Delhi or any other metro or big city and the increasing trend of boarding schools in Delhi. The people of these cities sustain a very hectic life style. They have to cope up perfectly with their professional as well as personal life. The high competitive market of this era has made it so difficult for anyone to make out some time for their personal lives. Sometimes this leads to stress and frustration. Working Parents often seem to face these difficulties as it has been very hard for them to spend quality time with their children. Because of their busy schedule, they are not able to look after the studies of their children. Due to such reasons, boarding school in Delhi and other major cities are a good option for those parents who have a hectic lifestyle which makes it difficult to manage children at day schools.

Pros And Cons Of A Boarding School

Boarding schools are very popular in India these days. The best boarding schools in India are located in hilly areas in the healthy and peaceful environment. These live-in schools have their own advantages and disadvantages. The main problem that is faced by the children even in the top boarding schools is lack of family support as they are not able to contact their family on a daily basis.

The main advantage of living in a boarding school is that it gives an opportunity for children to develop a sense of maturity. Children who are living in board are more independent than those children of simple day-schools. Having no back support of parents during boarding life, they tend to become wiser and emotionally strong. Various social interactions and seminars are organized by most of the boarding schools of Delhi to provide worldly exposure to students. In this way boarding schools play an important role in overall development of a child.

Should Cell Phones Be Allowed In Schools?

This is a debatable topic and brings in different views and concerns. Should cell phones be allowed in schools? Parents do not hesitate buying the latest equipment for their kids and they equip the child with cell phones so that he is contactable at all times. The ever doting parents strongly believe that cell phones should be allowed in school so that timely action can be undertaken during emergencies. There have been instances of terror attacks and shootings and the concerned parent wants his child to be secure and receive timely help.

But, the school authorities think otherwise and are averse to this line of thought. The school administrations want a complete ban on cell phones in schools. Well, they have their own set of arguments to support their objection.

The school authorities argue that crime gets unchecked with the usage of cell phones in schools. Some children take to drugs and can procure and order drugs while in school, so that they can have it collected right at the school gate. This saves the child from the questions of the parents .Cell phones if used in large numbers in a common place during emergencies may lead to the risk of the servers crashing with the heavy load on their systems. Instead of helping, this may act as a deterrent in reaching out for help when required.

Owing to the arguments cited above, the best boarding schools in India do not encourage cell phones in schools and are quite strict on this rule.

The best schools in India have their own security system very strong and they have their internal committees which are equipped to   meet any emergency which may so arise.DPS Schools in Delhi, Cambridge School in Delhi have a complete ban on the cell phones. They have a written clause wherein it is mentioned that if found in the premises, would be confiscated and action taken upon. This is not only for the schools in Delhi but all the Cambridge Schools in India and all the DPS schools in India, they all follow on code of conduct which is common to all their schools in India.

Workload Management In Boarding School

Student life is all about doing your homework, completing assignments, making and submission of projects and studying for daily tests. In international boarding school in India, this workload pressure increases even more because the children have to participate in compulsory extra-curricular activities daily. So, how do they manage the workload without lagging behind?

  •         No Procrastination
Never leave a work undone for a long time. At best boarding schools in India sometimes, teachers give assignments with ample time for submission. This does not mean, one should wait till the D-day to finish the task. If you wait for the last moment, you might panic and botch the whole assignment or not be able to submit it on time. It is better to start out early and submit the assignment on time.

  •          Work According To The Schedule
While doing your homework, try to prioritize the tasks, according to the time table provided to you in the classroom. E.g. if you have English on Tuesday and History on Wednesday, try to complete your English homework before moving on to History homework. This will save you from a lot of stress.

  •          Bite Only What You Can Chew
In a boarding school in India, the choice of extra-curricular activities is quite large and diverse. Plan and decide how many activities you can take up, without disturbing your studies and putting pressure on yourselves.

  •          Change the Location
While studying, try to go to a place other than your room. Your room is the place where you not only study but do a lot of other things like entertaining friends, writing letters etc. This might sometimes distract you from the task at hand. So it would be good if you go to your school library or reading room to study.

  •          Study With A Friend
Studying alone gives you more concentration. But sometimes, certain subjects are difficult and certain subjects are boring. This could lead you to delay your work on such subjects. The best option in such cases is to study with a friend. This will make your work easier and more fun to do.

  •          Take Care Of Your Health
Health is wealth. All the above things can be done correctly only if you are in good health. So eat well, rest properly and stay healthy.

Managing workload is an easy task if you know how to do it the right way.For More Info Visit >> www.dpspanipatcity.in.
